Production Process
Unlike standard blanco tequilas that are bottled immediately after distillation, Don Felix Plata undergoes a unique aging and filtering process:
- Cooking & Crushing: Agaves are cooked in high-pressure autoclaves and crushed using a roller mill.
- Fermentation: Open-air fermentation lasting 10 to 15 days.
- Aged for 1 Month: Matured for one month in virgin white oak barrels.
- Coconut Fiber Filtration: Filtered through coconut fibers to strip the barrel color while retaining a smooth texture.
